Weekly Reading Round-Up

Happy Friday, all!  It won’t surprise anyone to hear that I’ve been reading my way through more of Patricia Wentworth’s Miss Silver series (seriously, so soothing).

But I also have a wonderful treat lined up on my Kindle, two upcoming books I’ve been dying to read: Stephanie Dray’s The Women of Chateau Lafayette, which goes back and forth between the eighteenth century, World War I, and World War II; and Susan Meissner’s The Nature of Fragile Things, set around the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.  I am so excited about both and have no idea which to read first.  As soon as Miss Silver figures out who dunnit….

What have you been reading this week?

Midnight Sun (Twilight retold from Edward’s viewpoint) is great, definitely a treat for Twilight fans like myself 🙂 Fun to get to revisit that world!

Currently reading a Lenora Bell ARC, Love is a Rogue. Before that, a 1930s story by Anne Perry, Death in Focus. Abbi Waxman’s I Was Told It Would Get Easier for laugh out loud.

I re-read Jane Eyre with my boyfriend, and really loved introducing him to one of my favorite books 🙂 Also read Celestial Bodies by Jokha Alharthi, Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, and a couple of Ina Garten cookbooks!

Just finished John Eyre by Mimi Matthews and The Glass Ocean! I loved it! The books you mentioned sound so good, I’m going to have to read them.
