Weekly Reading Round-Up

Right now, I’m reading Lucy Foley’s The Hunting Party, a psychological thriller very much in the style of Ruth Ware’s In a Dark, Dark Wood, about a group of thirty-something university friends who rent a remote Scottish lodge for New Year’s Eve, and it’s all one big, uneasy party– until one of them is found dead.

In other news, it’s the last chance to enter the Goodreads give away for an advance copy of The Summer Country! The contest closes on Monday.

What are you reading this week?

I’m immersed in The Huntress, another historical fiction novel by Kate Quinn. Just when you think you can put it down and carry on with what you need to do, you’ve been pulled in again. Such a reverse role when the hunter becomes the hunted.

Winding up with Bernard Cornwell’s The Last Kingdom series, on #10 now. Solid series, sustains interest throughout (so far!)

I literally have The Hunting Party on my TBR pile… perhaps I’ll put it in the hat for book club on Sunday… in other news I’m re-reading Zen Cho’s Sorcerer to the Crown (Regency Magic awesomeness) before starting her new book, The True Queen (which I should be starting tonight.)
