MIDNIGHT MANZANILLA Winner!

All I can say is, you guys know my characters way too well. To everyone who commented that Eloise would be into dressing up and Colin wouldn’t? Spot on.

Eloise goes to the Dudley House Halloween party as a random Regency woman, exact character unspecified (I’m guessing Eloise is channeling Jane Wooliston here, but doesn’t want to say it).

Colin, on the other hand? Shows up in black tie. Eloise speculates that he might be James Bond– or, more likely, simply chose the path of least resistance and is just Colin in black tie. She decides not to press the point.

I loved all of the suggestions– as did Eloise. She is now plotting to get Colin into tights for next year. (Next year being, for them, 2005!)

Having gotten all that out of the way, are you ready for the moment we’ve been waiting for?

The winner of the ARC of The Mark of the Midnight Manzanilla, chosen at random by random number generator from among all your responses, is…

Bn100! (Of Comment #94.)

Congrats, Bn100! If you’ll email me with your info, I’ll pop your ARC in the mail to you.

In the meantime, I’ll go count up my ARCs and start plotting another give away….

    Congratulations Bn100!
My favorite ipad game of Uno and Friends is having a Pink Carnation tournament this weekend! I’m guessing it is for Mother’s Day but I’m still excited!

Are you sure Colin isn’t just a waiter? A la Zander on Buffy?

Speaking as somebody who comes from a country where we don’t do Halloween, I think Colin must really love to have actually gone. Many years ago my parents were invited to a very rare Halloween party. Dad’s reaction on being told he would be expected to wear a costume was: a/ shock, b/ disbelief, c/ anguish, d/ take Suzanne. So I went instead. I loved it, but then I am a girl and any excuse to get dressed up is a good thing in my book.
