The first of the major Ashford Affair ARC contests is going to be starting on the Contest page on Saturday, but, in the meantime….

Earlier today, I made a joking comment on Facebook about Miss Gwen’s coat of arms being two crossed parasols on a field of fallen fops. This seemed to amuse people (in addition to me). And it occurred to me that it might be even more amusing to actually see Miss Gwen’s coat of arms… but for the fact that I have zero artistic talent.

So, artistically abled people, here is your challenge! Draw Miss Gwen’s coat of arms (the only requirement is that it contain crossed parasols, other than that, you’re free to go wild and invent whatever you like, including a suitable motto, crest, what have you) and submit it to me as a jpeg via email no later than October 1. I’ll post all the entries here on the site and open it up to a vote.

The winning design will be featured on a tote bag, mug, or t-shirt (whichever is preferred) which will go to the winner.
