Charlottesville on Saturday

Come join me in Charlottesville, VA this Saturday for the Virginia Festival of the Book!

I have the great privilege to be speaking on a panel with Deanna Raybourn, Joanna Bourne, and Cathy Maxwell. We’ll be talking Pistols, Petticoats and Poisons: Researching History and Writing Fiction at noon at the Barnes & Noble at 1035A Emmet Street.

If you’re in Charlottesville, come on by! The event is entirely free and we’ll be signing books at the end of the panel.

I’ve been meaning to ask for a long time now… Is there a projet to publish the text of your conferences, someday? I’d love to read what you have to say on the matter.. and on the matters you talked about in the last series of conferences you gave! I don’t know if such things are done, though… publishing conferences…

Hi, Celine! They do that sort of thing for academic conferences, where people are giving pre-prepared papers, but these panels are generally more off the cuff sorts of things.

Some of them, though, are available as audio recordings. If you look for my old conference panels at the RWA, NJRW and RWA-NEC conferences, you can order CD-ROMs of the whole conference or download individual workshops.

Here’s the link to last year’s RWA: http://www.rwa.org/cs/conference_recordings_and_handouts
