Mistletoe Mania

Last night, The Mischief of the Mistletoe won the Booksellers Best Award!

I am convinced it is entirely due to Joanne, who made me a gorgeous Pink Carnation bracelet to wear for luck. (I’ll be posting pictures of both the bracelet and the nifty BBA plaque as soon as I find my camera cord.) Thanks, Joanne! I will be wearing that magic bracelet glued to my wrist all week.

In the meantime, for more Mistletoe joy, fresh from my inbox, here’s the cover of the paperback edition:

More news and photos from RWA coming up soon!

Hi Lauren, I already commented on yur
FB page, but just can’t contain myself. I know you kowtowed to pressure from a lot of your fans to write this book, and look how great it turned out !! This is so wonderful. Who would have thought it would be an unlikely hero like darling Turnip to ein a prize? Well, he will always be my favorite. Will be having some lovely wine tonight for my BD, and will also toast your success.

Congratulations! I’m so very happy for you…it is richly deserved. The Mischief Of The Mistletoe was my very first read of yours and I was immediately HOOKED on Turnip and his bumbling but sweet romance with Arabella. Dear lady: I am vaguely aware how much hard work goes into writing historical fiction but YOU have God-given talent! Your style, plots, characters, validity, and wit are just superior to anything else I have delved into in a similar vein. I know it is clearly not effortless but all of your offerings seem to pour out of you with such perfection! The cover is divine and beckons: READ ME !

Not to sound like a broken record, but I too offer up my heart-felt congratulations, Lauren. Let the good times (and great writing) keep rolling!

Congratulations! Mistletoe and its cover will always have a special place in my heart since it was my introduction to the Pink Carnation series. I was walking out of a bookstore when that stunning cover caught my attention. The paperback edition is going to be equally gorgeous!

Lauren congratulations. Everything has been said above, but needed to put my two cents in. Love your work. Glad you are writing.

This is so wonderful, and truly well-deserved. How marvelous that the hapless Turnip turned out to be such a hero in so many ways. Hurrah, Turnip!

And, if I haven’t already done so, let me take this opportunity to thank you for the many hours of joy your books have given me. I love the ongoing stories of the Pink Carnation spies, as well as the modern-day lovers, Eloise and Colin.

Congrats on the BBA!!! I couldn’t agree more with their choice!

For me, Mistletoe ties for favorite with Crimson Rose. Also, speaking as a major fan of the historical-portait covers, I love the Mistletoe paperback cover!!! (Was that enough exclamation-marks?)
