RITA!

The RITAs are the romance novel equivalent of the Oscars, complete with awards ceremony, wisecracking presenters, and shiny gold statuettes. And this year…

The Mischief of the Mistletoe has been nominated! This is my very first RITA nomination, so I’m utterly over the moon. (It made it even better that it happened right around my birthday.) Turnip is clearly my lucky vegetable.

I’ll find out the results at the awards ceremony in June, so stay tuned! To make it even better, two of my favorite people, Sarah MacLean and Cara Elliott, are up in the same category with me.

Cara and I are going to be speaking on a panel together at the Empire State Book Festival in Albany this weekend, so you’ll be seeing two very happy authors!

Congrats, Lauren! It couldn’t have happened to a more talented and deserving writer. I’m just shocked that this is your first nomination since all of the books in the PC series have been winners IMO! Hope you get to take home that shiny gold statuette in June! Fingers crossed.
