Happy Birthday, ORCHID!

At long last, The Orchid Affair is finally here!

If you’re in New York, come join me tonight in celebrating at 7:00 at the Borders on 57th & Park, where I’ll be reading from the book, telling silly stories about the research trip that led up to it, and answering any questions you care to ask.

My copy from Amazon came last night and I couldn’t put it down! I’m desperately clutching my coffee this morning but it was worth it – Orchid is sinfully good! Will we really have to wait an entire year until the next installment? This series is addicting and I am already wanting more!

So excited…and stricken by the thought that I may have to leave for seminar before stupid UPS truck arrives (bastards). Congratulations on what’s sure to be another wonderful book!

Bounce, bounce, bounce! Office hours end at 3, and I shall be heading straight to Borders and hounding the staff (as per usual…eventually they will see me coming in January and just hand me your book).

I got my copy I’m so excited! Congratulations!

Congrats on what is sure to be another bestseller, Lauren! I would love to attend the signing at Borders tonight, but alas, I don’t live in NYC. However, I will be sending a “spy” in my stead who has promised to report back to me with all the details. I’m sure that it will be a wonderful evening for all!

not a single border, barnes & noble, or books-a-million in the Charlotte metro area have received your book yet. The soonest any of them can promise it in is two weeks. 🙁

That’s awful! I wonder what happened…. I’ll look into it.

Picking up my copy tonight…may have to cancel my dinner reservations! 🙂

Well, to be fair, they did suggest that it could be in next Tuesday, they just couldn’t promise that and could only promise two weeks if I ordered it right then and there. I think I can get it sooner if I go online. Good thing my gift card is an AmEx and not store specific!

SoCal hasn’t received them, either 🙁

I just finished the book and it was great. Laura and Jaouen are your best characters yet.

    SPOILER

I could just strangle Serena. To stab your loving, caring brother in the back for some easy cash is low.

Lauren, Thank you so much for this wonderful story. I stayed up all night Thursday to read it… Funnily enough, Scaramouche is on TV tonight. It’s like the stars align in one weekend!

LOVED The Orchid Affair! I really enjoyed Laura’s character. I also loved seeing more of Jane, Augustus and last but certainly not least, the return of the Purple Gentian! What a great cameo for Richard. I’m surprised Amy wasn’t with him though – it’s not like Amy to pass at a bit of adventure, though I’d like to think that Amy was off doing some spy-like activities of her own!

You mentioned you may someday do special publications of some of the covers sent in by fans. Do you think that will happen? I’m not really a fan of this new cover style.
