Book-in-a-Bag: the ORCHID Contest!

What with all the Pink tote bags and mugs, I thought it might be rather fun, as we count down the days to The Orchid Affair (coming to a bookstore near you on January 20th!), to have a book-in-a-bag contest.

The book? The Orchid Affair, of course! The bag? Ah, now there’s the problem. We have all sorts of lovely novelty Pink tote bags over in the Pink Shop, but nothing at all Orchid Affair specific.

So here’s your challenge: to design the official Orchid Affair tote bag.

I recommend using Cafe Press, just because it’s easy to link to and buy from, but if you have another, similar site you like better, feel free. Just send me an email with “Orchid Tote Bag” as the subject line, along with a jpeg of your bag (front and back if it’s two-sided) and, if you can, a link to the purchase site.

I’ll post all the submissions on Monday, January 10th, and open it up to voting. Winners will be announced on Monday, January 17th. The winner and two runners-up will receive a signed copy of The Orchid Affair in a bag of their own devising.

    When I try to click on the pink shop link, it shows a blank page. Is anyone else having problems connecting to it?

    Turns out I’m really bad at this, so I’ll just look forward to seeing what those of you with talent will come up with!

    I have a question about the Pink Store, though. Will it be updated with the designs of the contest winners from a few months ago? I really liked those, and would love to help out a good cause too.

    I, too, would like some of the designs from the last contest a few months ago! Please let us know!
    Also, wanted to make a tote for this contest, but the image for Orchid Affair is too small, and Cafe Press will not allow me to make it larger. Any suggestions?

    Hi, Kate! That’s so annoying! (I had similar problems with Cafe Press and the “Blood Lily” cover. Let me try emailing you the jpeg of the cover I have on file and maybe that will work better.
