Pink in Illinois!

Hi, all! As you can see from the sidebar, I’ll be jetting off to Illinois this weekend for the Historical Novel Society Conference. Unfortunately, the rest of the information over there to your right, concerning such small details as booksigning timing, is, alas, not so accurate. It turns out that the booksigning at the conference is only open to conference attendees.

However, since my part of the official signing doesn’t start until five o’clock, if you’re in the Chicago area and would like to have your books signed, I will plan to hang out in the hotel lobby between four o’clock and four-fifty on Saturday the 13th, pink pen in hand, ready to sign any books that come my way.

If that time doesn’t work for you, just drop a note below this post or send me an email and we’ll figure something out.

Oh, I will have to check my schedule! Also thanks so much for taking the time to do this for us fans in the area!

Will you be doing a San Francisco signing anytime?

Bleh, bleh, bleh. I have to go to my brother’s wedding in Michigan this weekend and can’t make it to Chicago! Come early and swing down to Champaign-Urbana — there is not much here but you can eat and drink well, anyway!

I am sorry I will miss this opportunity even though you will be only one hour from we live. I have all your books, have enjoyed them so much, and have shared your name with all my friends (and every employee at the bookstore too). My two daughters are still in elementary school but will greatly enjoy reading your books when they get to high school. Thank you very much for such fantastic writing! P.S. Sorry for the cold, rainy day; it’s usually NOT like this in Chicago area in June. Oops…probably lots of traffic from the Blues Fest too.

And as Robbie Burns (loosely-translated) said, the best laid plans of mice and men often go wrong, but as Eddie Izzard said, what mice do you know making plans? I sadly will have to see you the next time you come to the Midwest, hope the weather gets better for the rest of the conference!
