The Winner of the Sixteenth Annual Pinkorama Contest Is….
First, huge thanks to all of this year’s Pinkorama participants! It’s always like Christmas crossed with a birthday when your entries arrive in my inbox: the surprise of seeing what you’ve chosen to depict this year and the sheer joy of seeing the beauty you’ve made. I am, as always, in utter awe of your peep-craft.
This year’s entries brought us everything from Alexander Hamilpeep to the Naughty Hellpeep Club to All the Ways We Said Goodpeep to a wild Valley Peep author party.
As far as I’m concerned, each and every one is a winner! I couldn’t have possibly picked a favorite– they’re each so brilliant and so different– so I’m so grateful to everyone who stopped by to place a vote.
It was a close run thing, but in the end, the elephants stampeded over the competition! This year’s Pinkorama winner is:
— Lady Charlotte and the Charlatans, by Carrie, Laura, and Aurora! (from The Temptation of the Night Jasmine)

Aurora, your elephants clearly swung the vote! I didn’t count how many times they were mentioned in the comments, but it was a lot.
Take a bow, Carrie, Laura, and Aurora!
Lady Charlotte, of course, is so pleased, and will now celebrate with a raspberry tart.
Let’s have a huge round of applause for our brilliant runners up!
— “Valley Peep Celebration” by Candace, Cassandra, and Cara (from The Author’s Guide to Murder)

— “All the Ways We Said Goodpeep” by Debbi (from All The Ways We Said Goodbye)

— “Is this the Peep?” by Kali (from The Girl from Greenwich Street)

Thank you all for using your time and talents to make the Pinkorama’s Sweet Sixteen so particularly sweet (in every possible way)!
Debbi, Kali, Candace, Cassandra, and Cara, let me know which book you’d prefer, Girl from Greenwich Street or Author’s Guide to Murder, and I’ll send a shiny hardcover your way!
Carrie, Laura, and Aurora, there’s an ARC of What Happens at Nightfall with your name on it….
So many thanks to you all!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with next year….
