Weekly Reading Round-Up

Happy Saturday, all!

Apologies for being a day behind– I’ve been deep in research material for the next book and emerged with surprise to find I was two centuries away and a day late for Reading Round-Up.

When I haven’t been living in the 1790s and early 1800s, I had the fun of finishing up the new Jennifer Cruisie and Bob Meyer Liz Danger series with the third and final book in the series, One in Vermillion.  It’s such madcap fun and makes me want to go back and reread their earlier collaborations.

Right now, I’ve popped back to Dame Ngaio Marsh’s Inspector Alleyn series as a stopgap while I figure out what I want to read next– so let me know your favorite recent reads!

What have you been reading this week?

It’s been a re-read week for me, tackling Sarah J. Maas’ Crescent City series at home and reading “Gustavo, the Shy Ghost” by Flavia Z. Drago for today’s Storytime. I’m hopeful I’ll get more reading time next week!

I finished Daniel O’Malley’s Blitz and think it would have worked better if there was no modern section. Because I just wanted my favorite characters to stop by in the “present” and they didn’t. Reading the new Cormoran Strike.
