Virtual event 7/19 and live one 7/20!

I’m crawling out of my writing cave to announce that I’ll be (briefly) leaving my writing seclusion to take part in not one but two events this week!

On Wednesday, July 19th, you can find me at Fresh Fiction’s virtual book club party, where we’ll be discussing– well, whatever you like, really!  The event starts at 8pm ET, 7pm CT with informal chitchat, then a 8:30/7:30 interview that will be recorded for those who can’t be there, followed by an informal Q&A that WON’T be recorded– so zoom in with all of your off the record questions!

The event is free and open to anyone anywhere.  You can register here.

On Thursday, July 20th, I have the great honor of being in conversation (in person!) with Laurence Jurdem about his new (non-fiction) book about Theodore Roosevelt, The Rough Rider and the Professor.

Join us at R.J. Julia in Madison, CT at 6:30 pm to hear all about the exploits of T.R. and the ways in which his friendship with Henry Cabot Lodge shaped both of their destinies.

I’ll be signing copies of Two Wars and a Wedding (in which Teddy Roosevelt puts in a few cameo appearances!).  If you can’t make it in person, you can order a signed/personalized copy from R.J. Julia.

See you this week, on screen or in person!

On page 428 of Band of Sisters (large print) there is a reference to Mrs. DeWinter. But wasn’t Rebecca written like 20 years after the Christmas 1917 timing of the comment?
