The 2019 Pinkorama Round-Up
So many thanks to all of this year’s Pinkorama participants!
Every year, I wonder, how can these possibly live up to last year’s? And every year you somehow manage to raise the bar! This year, we’ve got ricocheting billiard balls, Star Wars memorabilia, sinking ships, and sugary skullduggery in 19th century Hyderabad.
It’s impossible to choose just one favorite out of so much gorgeousness. But that’s your job! Pick your favorite Pinkorama from the round-up below and post it in the Comments– and I’ll choose one judge at random to receive a Summer Country tote bag!
Voting closes next Saturday (5/11). Winners will be announced on Monday (5/13).
In the order in which I received them, I give you… the 2019 Pinkoramae!
1) “The Passion of the Peeple Plumeria” or “Billiard Balls on Cue” by Carrie and Laura (from The Passion of the Purple Plumeria)
With the French spy, the Gardener, in hot pursuit, the Pink Carnation and her chaperone, Miss Gwendolyn Meadows, make good their escape by unleashing the “special trunk” and scattering billiard balls all over the road. Colonel William Reid has no idea what he’s got himself into….

2) “The Peep Wars Bedroom” by Carla and Rowan (from The Glass Ocean)
When Sarah Blake crosses the Pond in search of answers about the Lusitania, she never expects to find a handsome Englishman… or his Star Wars bedecked childhood room!
3) “So Many Peeps Lost” by Colleen and Nick (from The Glass Ocean)
As the Lusitania goes down beneath the waves, our heroines, Caroline Hochstetter and Tess Fairweather, cling to the side of a an overturned lifeboat. Will they live? Will they die? Will help arrive from the Irish fishing village in the distance? And can anyone keep Prunella Schuyler from barging into the scene?

4) “Showdown at Peep’s Tomb” by Candace and Cassandra (from The Betrayal of the Blood Lily)
There are crosses and double crosses galore at the climactic scene of The Betrayal of the Blood Lily, as Penelope and Alex chase a French spy to Raymond’s Tomb– and find not just a hidden cache of weapons and various flower-named foes, but the Moonflower himself.

And that concludes our tour de 2019 Pinkorama, in which each and every one is a tour de peep! May I have a huge round of applause for all the artistes? Take a bow, pat yourself on the back, and relax with a peep while we all admire your work!
What’s your favorite Pinkorama of 2019?
They are all fabulous, but going to vote for #1. The Passion of the Purple Plumeria is such a favorite.
So impressive! And I don’t think any of these scenes have been done before. It was tough choosing but I think #1.
Wow, they’re all amazing! I love them all, but, #1 is my favorite, such wonderful detail, and wonderful characters.
They’re all great but my favorite is 4.
It was a difficult decision, but I’m going to go with number 4. I love the details and that it’s all edible.
The Peep Wars Bedroom gets my vote
#3
#1 is my favorite but everyone was so creative this year!
#2 but it was a hard choice.
#1 is my favorite, though #2 is close. The coach covered in baggage wins!
They are all interesting, but my vote has to go for #1. It captured me from the first you put up the pictures.
I love #4
The cracker crates and their coats are so creative…and the artists names fit with the alliteration going on!
No. 1 for sure though they are all really creative!
No. 1 for sure although they are all so creative!

So hard to choose, but because of actually staging it outside my vote goes to #1, “The Passion of the Peeple Plumeria” or “Billiard Balls on Cue”!

#3!! They all look great!
They’re all great but I love 4!
There is a lot of planning, creativity, and good execution in all of them but I vote for #3.
These are all fantastic!!! But I vote for #1.
I am pretty proud of #1 – I really like how the trunks turned out! I love the costumes and edible set up of 4, and the desperate surrealism of 3, but I have to vote for #2 because of the Chewbacca drawing! Great job, Rowan!
#1. Congratulations to all the entrants for jobs well done!
#3
Lusitania tragedy! Very imaginative.
Sit was a difficult decision, but I’m going to vote for #4. I love all the detail and that it is all edible.
Kudos to all the participants! So torn but I think I’m going with number 1.
I go with #3, love that my husband helped with it
All the extra little touches, such as the Star Wars posters on the wall, make #2 my top choice.
I love seeing all the Peep creations every year! I’m going to vote for #1 – so creative and love Miss Gwen launching billiard balls…
#1
#4
I am going to say that number 1 is my favourite too!!! ♥

Ohhhh….#1, although that Star Wars bedecked childhood bedroom was s close second.
It was really hard to decide on just one because they are all so fabulous! But, in the end, I’m voting for #1. It’s just really awesome!
They are all so creative but I have to say #1 is my favorite!
I vote for #1, although they are all very creative and well done!
