The 2019 Pinkorama Round-Up

So many thanks to all of this year’s Pinkorama participants!

Every year, I wonder, how can these possibly live up to last year’s?  And every year you somehow manage to raise the bar!  This year, we’ve got ricocheting billiard balls, Star Wars memorabilia, sinking ships, and sugary skullduggery in 19th century Hyderabad.

It’s impossible to choose just one favorite out of so much gorgeousness. But that’s your job! Pick your favorite Pinkorama from the round-up below and post it in the Comments– and I’ll choose one judge at random to receive a Summer Country tote bag!

Voting closes next Saturday (5/11). Winners will be announced on Monday (5/13).

In the order in which I received them, I give you… the 2019 Pinkoramae!

1) “The Passion of the Peeple Plumeria” or “Billiard Balls on Cue” by Carrie and Laura (from The Passion of the Purple Plumeria)

With the French spy, the Gardener, in hot pursuit, the Pink Carnation and her chaperone, Miss Gwendolyn Meadows, make good their escape by unleashing the “special trunk” and scattering billiard balls all over the road.  Colonel William Reid has no idea what he’s got himself into….

2) “The Peep Wars Bedroom” by Carla and Rowan (from The Glass Ocean)

When Sarah Blake crosses the Pond in search of answers about the Lusitania, she never expects to find a handsome Englishman… or his Star Wars bedecked childhood room!

3) “So Many Peeps Lost” by Colleen and Nick (from The Glass Ocean)

As the Lusitania goes down beneath the waves, our heroines, Caroline Hochstetter and Tess Fairweather, cling to the side of a an overturned lifeboat.  Will they live?  Will they die?  Will help arrive from the Irish fishing village in the distance?  And can anyone keep Prunella Schuyler from barging into the scene?

Click here for a full description and more pictures of the scene.

4) “Showdown at Peep’s Tomb” by Candace and Cassandra (from The Betrayal of the Blood Lily)

There are crosses and double crosses galore at the climactic scene of The Betrayal of the Blood Lily, as Penelope and Alex chase a French spy to Raymond’s Tomb– and find not just a hidden cache of weapons and various flower-named foes, but the Moonflower himself.

Click here for a full description and more pictures of the scene.

And that concludes our tour de 2019 Pinkorama, in which each and every one is a tour de peep! May I have a huge round of applause for all the artistes? Take a bow, pat yourself on the back, and relax with a peep while we all admire your work!

What’s your favorite Pinkorama of 2019?
