Weekly Reading Round-Up
This week, I’ve mostly been reading up for my portion of the next Team W novel, and if I told you which books I was reading, you would absolutely know which section I was writing!
I am, however, starving for fiction. Next up: Charlotte MacLeod’s Rest You Merry, which Karlene recommended last week. Thanks, Karlene!
What have you been reading this week?
I’ve been reading the second Maisie Dobbs book,Birds of a Feather and the latest Joanna Ross book and her previous Honeymoon series books to catch up.
I am reading Christmas books by Jenny Hale: We will always have Christmas, and It all started with Christmas! I’m loving them! ♥
I am reading Seven Days of Us.
Trisha Ashley. Just discovered her. Light, warm, funny…
Been sick all week so needed mindless fun…. Kristin Painter’s Miss Frost Series fit the bill. Mostly listening, rather than reading…really beginning to love audible….
I just finished Donna Andrews’ Lark the Herald Angels Sing. It has one of the funniest rescue missions I’ve ever read!
The Lady Travelers Guide to Deception with an Unlikely Earl by Victoria Alexander.
After enjoying the first book in John Scalzi’s Interdependency series so much (yeah space opera!) I devoured the second one and now have to wait almost a whole year for the next installment! And the second book went very Douglas Adams, it was great.
Now I’m reading Rebecca’s Tale by Sally Beauman… I’m not sure what to think of anyone trying to write within Du Maurier’s classic, but I’m willing to give it a try.
I also picked up a Trisha Ashley and Rest You Merry after last week’s comments! Thanks for the recs, ladies 😀
I’ve just started “The Secret Life of Violet Grant “ by Beatriz Williams. I have read your books Lauren and love them and also Karen White’s books and talking to someone at my book club mentioned how much they liked this one. So I went out and got it. This will be my first by Beatriz Williams. Now I can say I’ve read all 3 authors of your WWW team👍
Just started the latest Kate Morton…The Clockmakers Daughter
I re-read Friday’s Child by Georgette Heyer. Didn’t care for it the first time – it improved a bit the second time around but still didn’t really like it. Now I’m starting Obsidio, the third book in the Illuminae Files trilogy. I’ve been saving it for a time when I needed a really good read, and the past week has been tough so I’m treating myself to some well-deserved ‘book cave’ time.
