New Jersey– this Sunday!

Are you in the Garden State? Join me at BooksNJ this Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00!

There’s a wonderful line-up of authors, including the ever-talented Donna Thorland (The Turncoat) and Jeanne Mackin (The Beautiful American), among many others.

The event will take place on the grounds of the Paramus Public Library (116 East Century Road). The book festival is free and open to the public. There will be books for sale at the event, but you’re more than welcome to bring books from home to have signed. I’ll also have bookplates on hand to sign for your copies of The Other Daughter and The Lure of the Moonflower.

I’ll be speaking on two panels. You can find me:

— at 1:00, with Donna Thorland, Jeanne Mackin, and Marie Coughlin, talking about “Weaving Threads from the Past: Delving into History”;

— and at 2:20, with Luca Manna, Marie E. Andreu, Caroline Leavitt, and Wendy Mass, discussing “Let’s Get Digital”.

Here are the details:

    I really loved Jeanne Mackin’s Louisa May Alcott mysteries. They were so well done but she stopped after only three. I was hoping that when they were picked up by a British publisher a few years ago she might write some more, but no such luck. If you get the chance, Lauren, could you tell her she has a big fan in Australia and if she was to write some more of them I would pounce on them with great enthusiasm the minute they were announced as pre-orders.
