The 2015 Pinkorama Round-Up

2015 is a banner year in the annals of the Pinkorama. We have five beautiful scenes, each unique and crafted with sugary care. And, for the first time, also a recipe!

So many thanks to Rachel, Nikki, Christine, Pam, Colleen, Candance, and Cassandra for these Pink peep recreations! I am so in awe of your talent, ladies.

Without further ado, the round-up (in order of appearance in my inbox):

1. Robert’s Peeposal, by Rachel:

Rachel brings us Robert’s proposal to Charlotte from Pink V, The Temptation of the Night Jasmine, complete with swan a-swimming, inquisitive squirrel, raspberry tarts, and even a benevolent unicorn.

2. Love at First Peep, by Nikki:

In an eerie midnight garden in Mayfair, Nikki brings us Love at First Peep: Sally Fitzhugh’s first meeting with Lucien, Duke of Dovedale in Pink XI, The Mark of the Midnight Manzanilla. Is he or is he not a Vampeep?

3. The Vampeep, by Christine:

What if Lucien really were a Vampeep? And Sally happened to stumble upon him in his (delectable pound cake) coffin? A Pink alternative history– and a recipe!– from Christine.

4. A Peepingly Good Time at Farley Castle, by Pam and Colleen:

Pam and Colleen transport us to Christmas of 1803 and The Mischief of the Mistletoe. Arabella Dempsey and her good friend Jane Austen have been conveyed to the frost fair at Farley Castle by none other than our favorite root vegetable, Mr. Turnip Fitzhugh– but are they ready for the mysterious pudding that lies in wait?

5. Napeepleon Meets Miss Gwen, by Candace and Cassandra:

The gang’s all here! It’s back to the Tuileries Palace and Pink I, The Secret History of the Pink Carnation, as Richard, Amy, Jane, and Augustus look on in shock as Miss Gwen lets Napoleon know how she really feels about his high-handed ways… with the application of a purple parasol.

Thank you so much, Rachel, Nikki, Christine, Colleen, Pam, Candace and Cassandra!

I love how clever and how different each of these is. I don’t think I could pick a favorite if I tried.

What about you? Do you have a favorite Pinkorama? Just place your vote below and I’ll tally it all up on Wednesday….

Since Manzanilla seems to have edged out the other books for Pinkorama supremacy this year, one person who votes, chosen at random, will receive a signed copy of The Mark of the Midnight Manzanilla.

  7. Melissa on April 13, 2015 at 12:49 pm

Although I like Robert’s proposal because I’m currently re-reading the entire series and am now on Night a Jasmine, I have to say Napeepelon meets Miss Gwen gets my vote because it’s the most interestingly detailed one!

  8. Jan Siler on April 13, 2015 at 12:55 pm

So. Very. Hard. To. Decide. But I’m going to go with Napeepleon because of sentimentality.

  13. AmyMc on April 13, 2015 at 1:39 pm

All are beautifully done, but my favorite is Farley Castle! Love the costumes!

Wow, this is hard. They are all fantastic. However I love the costumes in # 4. So my vote goes to:

    4. A Peepingly Good Time at Farley Castle, by Pam and Colleen:

  19. Mary D. on April 13, 2015 at 2:39 pm

I vote for 5. Napeepleon Meets Miss Gwen

    But they are all fabulous!

  20. LynnS on April 13, 2015 at 2:54 pm

Farley Castle, definitely. The detail on was incredible. Turnip’s pink coat and cravat! Mary’s jewels! Vaugh’s sneer! Add Jane Austen to that and it’s a winner.

    • LynnS on April 13, 2015 at 2:56 pm

      Vaughn, sorry.

  21. Betty S. on April 13, 2015 at 3:17 pm

All are wonderful, but must vote for Farley Castle #4.

#5 would be my second choice – love Napeepleon.

  22. Cathy Worthington on April 13, 2015 at 3:19 pm

Have to go with Robert’s proposal, but they are all, very cool!

  31. Laura on April 13, 2015 at 11:49 pm

When in doubt, always go with Miss Gwen!

  32. Paige on April 14, 2015 at 12:50 am

They are all so creative! Kudos to all of the designers! It is very difficult to choose. My vote is for A Peepingly Good Time at Farley Castle. I would like to give an honorable mention to Miss Gwen and her parasol, though.

  33. Mer Arnold on April 14, 2015 at 12:53 pm

I love them all! My very favourite, though, is Farley Castle. Turnip and his Waistcoat always win, in my opinion. And now I want some sugar. And a Turnip.

  34. Diana P on April 14, 2015 at 1:29 pm

They are all amazing and I want to vote for them all. If I have to pick just one, I pick Farley Castle. Great job everyone!

  35. Bekah on April 14, 2015 at 1:30 pm

I think they’re all great! And it was close for me but I’ll go with Napeepleon Meets Miss Gwen. Good job to all the participants!
