THAT SUMMER has a new look….
In honor of the cover of The Other Daughter (coming out in hardcover in June!), the amazing folks at the art department at St. Martin’s Press have given That Summer a new look:
They even managed to include the summer house!
That Summer hits the shelves in paperback on May 19, 2015.
Which cover do you prefer?
And here’s That Summer and The Other Daughter together!
Love the new cover!
It looks great, and goes well with The Other Daughter. It That Summer going to be trade or mass-market?
Sheila, it will be trade paperback.
Love the typography! Yes, graphic design nerd here 😉
Miss Eliza, it’s all about the typography! My new “thing” for these covers is era-appropriate type. So whatever the next stand alone is will also have type that reflects the era. Rather neat, no?
No way! I love these covers! So exited for you.
These are kind of a take from the latest Pink Covers as well don’t you think, just with different typography?
But I’m a sucker for the house in That Summer, especially since it’s a “house” book book.
Oh, Lauren – the new cover is vastly better than the old one. More expressive of the era! The old cover didn’t seem to have anything to do with the story. Bravo to your publisher. And the new book looks great as well.
I agree with Lynne. I love the new cover and the one for The Other Daughter is beautiful. I didn’t like to say so at the time, but I thought the old cover for That Summer was very dull and gave no idea of what the story was about.
