PURPLE PLUMERIA Give Away

We have three months left until Pink X, aka The Passion of the Purple Plumeria, hits the shelves– and three advance copies to give away!

For the first of the advance copies of The Passion of the Purple Plumeria, here’s your question….

With which Pink character would you most (or least!) want to go on vacation?

The winner, chosen as randomly as possible by random number generator, will be announced on Sunday.

As the countdown continues, the second ARC will be up for grabs on Thursday, June 6; the third ARC on Saturday, July 6. And on Tuesday, August 6, The Passion of the Purple Plumeria appears in stores!

I really think Letty and I would get along swimmingly on vacation! She’d take care of details, and then we could both relax!

  2. Caren H. on May 7, 2013 at 8:46 am

I don’t think I’d enjoy vacay with Mary or Lord Vaughn. Mary is a little too snobbish for me and Lord Vaughn might wear my brain out with all of his double entendres.

  3. Claire on May 7, 2013 at 8:49 am

Can I go modern and say Colin? He’s always seemed yummy.

  4. Diana T on May 7, 2013 at 8:49 am

I would go on vacation with Geoffrey and Letty. Considering how fun filled their honeymoon was I bet they don’t have boring vacations.

  5. Alise L. on May 7, 2013 at 8:49 am

I would think that Henrietta would be the most fun on a vacation…at the very least, it would be exciting!

  6. Vivian on May 7, 2013 at 8:51 am

I’m going to have to say Miss Gwen, just because I think it would be a riot to have her around.

  7. Alise L on May 7, 2013 at 8:51 am

Henrietta and I would get along the best…although we might get into a few scrapes along the way!

  8. Sarah Smyczynski (@leianajade) on May 7, 2013 at 8:52 am

I’d choose Emma. She reminded me quite a bit of my sister in law, and we always have a ton of fun together, so I imagine it’d be the same with Emma.

  9. Marissa on May 7, 2013 at 8:54 am

I would go with Henrietta, because I think we have a lot in common. 🙂 And there would be lots of singing!

  10. Glory Hoeflich on May 7, 2013 at 8:55 am

Miles and Henrietta….Miles reminds me so much of my husband so I know they could kick back with a glass of port and chat. Henrietta just seems like someone I could be friends with.

  11. Jessica C on May 7, 2013 at 8:55 am

Most? Jane. She’s interesting to spend time with, but also independent so that we wouldn’t have to everything together, we could go off and pursue our own interests. A little alone time is important, even on vacation.

Least? Miles. He’s very loveable, but prove to hovering (and looming). He’d drive me mad after a few days.

  12. Robyn on May 7, 2013 at 8:55 am

I am going to have to say Lady Selwick(Richard and Henrietta’s mom), because she reminds me of my mom and we always have fun adventures together!

  13. Olivia on May 7, 2013 at 8:56 am

    Henrietta!

    She’s my spirit animal.

  14. Diane on May 7, 2013 at 8:56 am

Travel with Gwen would be interesting. I bet we would cover a lot of ground!

  15. Jennifer on May 7, 2013 at 8:57 am

Charlotte so we could talk about our favorite books!

  16. Jan on May 7, 2013 at 8:59 am

Miles and Henrietta – There would never be a dull moment, for sure!

  17. Laura on May 7, 2013 at 9:00 am

I think Amy from “Pink Carnation”. Her sense of “let’s go!” would help me to do more than sit around the hotel pool, reading more books. 🙂

  18. Jen on May 7, 2013 at 9:01 am

Letty, for sure. She seems like a ton of fun to be around.

  19. Carolyn on May 7, 2013 at 9:01 am

Charlotte. I prefer to do a lot of reading and she wouldn’t interrupt.

  20. Kathryn on May 7, 2013 at 9:03 am

…Turnip… I know it is weird but, I think he is funny and from what I can tell we think alike, the difference is that he says what he thinks aloud. The part with the dachshund and him in a alley kills me every time… although he did not say that he thought it.

  21. Sara Martin on May 7, 2013 at 9:05 am

Miss Gwen! How could I resist traveling with someone who pokes people with her parasol and so delights in blowing things up?

  22. Lesley on May 7, 2013 at 9:06 am

Jane! We could wear disguises and go on adventures.

  23. Amy on May 7, 2013 at 9:12 am

It’s a toss-up between Charlotte and Turnip. I think I could have a good time with either of them. I’d have to say, I think I’d rather pass on an outing with Mary…although I bet she likes to travel first-class!

  24. Katherine Thurston on May 7, 2013 at 9:15 am

I would most like to go on vacation with Penelope. She is always game for anything. She wants to immerse herself in local customs and seems to enjoy herself everywhere she goes.

  25. Justina Clayburn on May 7, 2013 at 9:15 am

I’m kinda’ thinking Turnip myself. I was so happy when he got his own story… I like when the side characters can be important too 🙂

  26. Rose on May 7, 2013 at 9:18 am

I think I’d have a ton of fun with Penelope. It would definitely be an adventure.

  27. Beverly on May 7, 2013 at 9:18 am

I’d have to say Miss Gwen, she’s so funny with her parasol and I’m sure she would be extremly helpful in any situation we would come across.

  28. Catie on May 7, 2013 at 9:21 am

Henrietta! I think she would be a blast as a companion at either a relaxing beach vaca or a wild amusement park vaca, and likely everything in between!

  29. Ammy Belle on May 7, 2013 at 9:22 am

Hm … Lady Selwick or Miss Gwen would spend the entire time making me laugh … but Amy and Henrietta would be up for crazy adventures … but I think I would have to say Jane – she’s intelligent, we’d have so much to discuss and she had a wonderfully lateral mind.

    Thanks! 🙂

  30. Stephanie on May 7, 2013 at 9:22 am

Without hesitation, Hen and Miles. I’ll pack the ginger cookies.

  31. Chelsea on May 7, 2013 at 9:26 am

Arabella because she knows Jane Austen… and therefore knows wonderfully British things and places. 🙂

  32. Anya Chaplya on May 7, 2013 at 9:29 am

I would totally go on vacation with Eloise and Colin, if they would be too busy managing the estate, the probably Letty and Geoffrey….They seem like they would be great to hang out with.

  33. Ashlee on May 7, 2013 at 9:29 am

I’d have to go with Miss Gwen. Think about the snarky attitude and material we could get for her novel! And I’d get a kick out of her parasol poking.

  34. Jessica S. on May 7, 2013 at 9:33 am

    Most…Henriette or Arabella.

    Least: Jasper. And his sideburns.

  35. Heather on May 7, 2013 at 9:45 am

I’d love to go with Charlotte and Robert. Just enough whimsy to make anything magical, but the practicality to actually go do things on vacay. As for the least, probably Marston…or Napoleon, lol.

  36. Carrie Bryant on May 7, 2013 at 9:46 am

    Turnip would be fun!

  37. Michelle Springer on May 7, 2013 at 9:46 am

I would want to go on vacation with either Henrietta or Letty. I could use some of their practical advice right now.

  38. Liz on May 7, 2013 at 9:53 am

It would be a really looong vacation with Mary and Vaughn–I have a feeling nothing would be spared from his cutting wit and her high opinion of herself!

But on the other hand I would love to vacation with Letty and Geoff…think they’d be really easygoing and lovely.

  39. Diana P on May 7, 2013 at 9:55 am

Charlotte. She’d be fun to go sightseeing with.

  40. Joey B. on May 7, 2013 at 9:55 am

    Amy, because she has spunk.

  41. Meredith A on May 7, 2013 at 9:55 am

Jane! I’m certain she would know obscure facts about local landmarks and would we find adventure around every corner.

  42. Susan Gorman on May 7, 2013 at 9:56 am

I’d love to go on vacation with Henrietta and Miles. It would be an adventure for sure!

  43. Madeline Lynch on May 7, 2013 at 9:57 am

Jane! I mean seriously, that obviously means that there is an adventure to be had!

  44. Susan on May 7, 2013 at 9:58 am

I think Henrietta would be a fun pal on a vacation!

  45. Alex on May 7, 2013 at 9:59 am

Colin somehow has turned into my dream guy, so I’d have to vote him, with a thank you for writing him.

But if I’m going historical, I think Letty and I would have fun together on a girls trip.

  46. Anya Chaplya on May 7, 2013 at 10:00 am

It would be fun to go with Colin and Eloise!!

  47. Dara on May 7, 2013 at 10:12 am

Either Henrietta and Miles because they are just fun or Miss Gwen because it would be fun to terrorize people.

  48. Rachel Brown on May 7, 2013 at 10:23 am

Letty! She has always been my favorite Pink character and I think we would be best friends. We have the same sense of humor.

  49. Georgia on May 7, 2013 at 10:24 am

I would love to spend time with Jane.

  50. Lauren Ashley on May 7, 2013 at 10:31 am

I’d have to Henrietta and Miles because I’ve just always loved them. Although for some reason I feel like a vacation with Lord Vaughn would be quite entertaining haha

  51. Colleen on May 7, 2013 at 10:34 am

I’d choose Amy, because she’d always find something interesting hidden in the ordinary!

  52. Laurie Williams on May 7, 2013 at 10:38 am

Arabella! We have them same sense of humor so even if the vacation were horrible, we would be able to laugh about it ^_^

  53. Christie Martin on May 7, 2013 at 10:40 am

Henrietta would be fun to go with, always ferriting out something exciting to get into.

  54. Rebecca on May 7, 2013 at 10:44 am

Selwick family destination reunion. Org Turnip.

    • Rebecca on May 7, 2013 at 10:47 am

      Oops, or.

  55. jeffrey on May 7, 2013 at 10:44 am

As a guy, I’d like to spend time with Lord Vaughn because he has been extensively on the continent, experienced everything, and seen everything.

He would be worldly, edgy, charismatic and we would enjoy the casual company of ladies he would always attract.

Indeed a very fascinating and somewhat mysterious gentleman, full of surprises. How fun would that be?

  56. Miss Hel on May 7, 2013 at 10:52 am

I adore Turnip and would love to go on a vacation with him. He’s a hoot and probably has all sorts of connections at any number of luxe Regency-era resorts towns. It would be fun!

  57. Stef on May 7, 2013 at 10:57 am

Letty because she’s such a planner. I could just relax and let her handle everything!

  58. Céline on May 7, 2013 at 10:58 am

I’m pretty sure I’d hate to go on vacation with Fouché… (what, is he not fair game to mention :D?).
That said, I’d love to meet Eloise and have a chat about Colin on the beach… eating marzipan piggies… drinking cocktails… drooling over Colin’s body… oops, sorry, did I say that loud? 😀

  59. Nessa on May 7, 2013 at 11:01 am

Spanky Sally to shake things up!

  60. Amy Mc on May 7, 2013 at 11:01 am

I’m another vote for Colin. I always look forward to the framework chapters…

  61. Amanda on May 7, 2013 at 11:04 am

Since I’m married, I doubt my husband would agree to me being whisked away by any of the dashing males so, my choice is Miss Penelope/Lady Frederick Staines.

Being military, I’ve traveled the world over. I’ve already done a great many adventurous things. She’s the only one who is seemingly equal to the task of taking on a full scale adventure head on without a second thought. I think it would be hilarious to hear the tale of our exploits…do you think she’s available for The Amazing Race?

  62. Alexandra on May 7, 2013 at 11:07 am

Definitely Miles and Henriette – they’re by far my favorite characters in the whole series, and seem like the most adventurous and fun!

    • Alexandra on May 7, 2013 at 11:12 am

      Oops – meant Henrietta!

  63. Janet on May 7, 2013 at 11:12 am

I think Lettie would be a hoot to go on vaction with. However, I doubt we would return unscather. 🙂

  64. Michelle K on May 7, 2013 at 11:14 am

I would want to go with Colin. Of course, he’s taken, but I can always admire him from a close distance!

  65. Amy R on May 7, 2013 at 11:20 am

Eloise, I think. We could definitely have some fun discussing history and picking up hot English men.

  66. Alison Doherty on May 7, 2013 at 11:24 am

Most: Henrietta – she has always been my favorite.
Least: Turnip – I don’t think I could deal with that.

  67. stacy on May 7, 2013 at 11:30 am

I would love to have the entire cast at a resort all together. Can u imagine the drama and entertainment.

  68. Gina on May 7, 2013 at 11:31 am

Miles! In your world he’s taken, I suppose, but maybe in an alternate universe? Either him or Eloise, just because I think she’s wonderful

  69. E on May 7, 2013 at 11:36 am

Most – Probably Miss Gwen, especially if we went to a country that was not 100% safe for ladies traveling alone

Least – Probably Mary & Vaughn…I don’t know if I could take an entire vacation dodging veiled insults.

And I have to admit, when I first read the question, I read it as which Pink character most needed a vacation. My first thought was Geoff, to be honest. XD

  70. Laura on May 7, 2013 at 11:57 am

I’d have to go with Amy. She’s handy to have around if you need to rescue someone from an extra special interrogation chamber or if you need to escape in a hurry! Plus you never know when you will need a Plan F or G or M or Y!

  71. Melanie on May 7, 2013 at 11:59 am

Oh it would have to be Letty. I think we would get a long very well. She was one of my all time favourite characters in the series so far.

  72. Kristen A. on May 7, 2013 at 12:06 pm

I’m torn between thinking that a vacation with Lord Vaughn would be vastly entertaining or a really, really bad idea. It would only be one extreme or the other.

  73. leslie on May 7, 2013 at 12:09 pm

    Jack Reid.

  74. AngelB on May 7, 2013 at 12:12 pm

Well, if I wasn’t married I have a feeling Moonflower is going to be the man I wang to hang with. Call it a hunch based upon his brother, his father and his occupation.

Girl’s vacation I would definitely hang with Amy because ANYTHING could happen

    • leslie on May 7, 2013 at 10:35 pm

      Wang to hang? Laughing……can’t stop.

  75. Jorie on May 7, 2013 at 12:15 pm

Eloise – I think we’d have a scathingly lovely time together, because we’re both bookish lasses with a penchment for history! 🙂

  76. Sarah Walraven on May 7, 2013 at 12:22 pm

Toss up between Miles and Turnip!

  77. NikkiB on May 7, 2013 at 12:31 pm

I think I would be most scared to go on vacation with Miss Gwen. Unless I was going somewhere dangerous.. and then she would definitely come in handy scaring away all those sinister characters!

  78. Antonia on May 7, 2013 at 12:36 pm

Difficult decision…but I think maybe Jane and Miss Gwen.

  79. Chartreuse on May 7, 2013 at 12:44 pm

For the one I would least like to go on vacation with it’s close between Mary Vaughn and Penelope Reid. Both are way too self-centered.

  80. marybeth on May 7, 2013 at 12:49 pm

Penelope reminds me of one of my best friends, so I know I would enjoy a vacation with her! I’d like to get to know Letty, though, too, so can she come along? And Colin should come so we have someone to flirt with.

  81. Allison on May 7, 2013 at 12:58 pm

Definitely Henrietta. Always up for adventure, and would never run out of things to talk about! Or maybe Eloise- girl needs a vacation before she goes back to Harvard!

  82. Adeia on May 7, 2013 at 1:03 pm

As weird as this sounds – I would love to go on a trip with Letty’s mom. She reminds me of my grandma. Or the Dowager, who reminds me of my mother.

  83. Alice on May 7, 2013 at 1:04 pm

I would love to go with Henrietta. She just seems like so much fun!

  84. Eliana B. on May 7, 2013 at 1:11 pm

    Arabella and Turnip .. 🙂

  85. jackie on May 7, 2013 at 1:16 pm

I would think Henrietta would definitely be the most fun!

  86. Chanpreet on May 7, 2013 at 1:17 pm

Eloise and I would get along well. We could visit museums and art galleries and have a ball.

  87. Angeline on May 7, 2013 at 1:24 pm

I would love to have a vacation with Turnip and Arabella. Arabella is really witty and Turnip’s goofy antics are charming. Tempered together I think we would have a lot of fun! I was so envious of the sleigh ride they had with Jane Austen.

  88. jeffrey on May 7, 2013 at 1:36 pm

In another time and place (not having been happily married for 42 years) I would pick Letty in a heartbeat. I found her physical attributes, pluck, and courageous practical determination made her easily the sexiest of all the Pink Carnation heroines to me! I could just relax and let her do all my thinking for me.

  89. Pat D on May 7, 2013 at 1:59 pm

Pre-marriage Vaughn! He can be so picky and wonderfully snarky. It would be great fun to put him in odd situations and shake up his finely tuned sensibilities. Vaughn on a camping trip? Vaugh hiking trails and stopping in for a drink at a pub? Vaugh jumping the waves at the beach?
The possibilities make me grin evilly.

  90. Junia on May 7, 2013 at 2:33 pm

I would go with Hen and Miles. They seem the most fun loving and, myself being short, I’m sure Miles will be more than happy to reach tall places and fetch us lemonade.

  91. Kim on May 7, 2013 at 2:33 pm

I would love to go with Arabella. With or without Turnip!

  92. Rebecca B. on May 7, 2013 at 2:44 pm

I think Letty and I are kindred spirits. I’d love to travel with her!

  93. Ashley on May 7, 2013 at 2:49 pm

I’d love to go on vacation with Turnip! We would set off for Russia and end up somewhere in South America. It would be spontaneous and amazing. And I think Arabella and I would be besties, so he’s welcome to bring her along.

  94. Renee on May 7, 2013 at 2:49 pm

Gosh, that’s tough! As much as I love Miles and Henrietta’s book, I think Miles is better with her 🙂 The heroes of your last three–Alex, Augustus, and Andre (all As, ha!)–are all really great. I love that they’re all a bit wounded, and the sweeter and more compassionate for it. I think I could be happy on a vacation with any of them! Maybe Alex edges out ahead because he seems most likely to be the most helpful at vacationing.

  95. Vanessa on May 7, 2013 at 2:56 pm

I’d love to go on a romantic getaway with Miles 😛

  96. Lois M. on May 7, 2013 at 2:58 pm

Hmm, well, it depends… if it’s a girls only getaway, Miss Gwen and Jane. If it, well, isn’t… either Richard or Colin. 🙂

    Lois

  97. Magda longoria on May 7, 2013 at 3:18 pm

Miss Gwen. I know some older ladies like her and they would be a blast to vacation with.

  98. Whitney on May 7, 2013 at 3:34 pm

Henrietta and Charlotte. She has enough common sense that we wouldn’t get in trouble, but enough of adventurous spirit to have some fun. Charlotte would know every interesting tourist spot and its historical significance.

  99. Allison (Allure of Books) on May 7, 2013 at 3:38 pm

I’m a complete Eloise girl! I want to hang out with her. 🙂

  100. Celeste on May 7, 2013 at 3:52 pm

I think Augustus Whittlesby would be a blast. He is so clever that he would bring an interesting point of view whatever the destination.

  101. Chelsea on May 7, 2013 at 4:39 pm

Henrietta would be my pick. You know you’d have an adventure, possibly get in a pickle, and definitely have some stories to tell!!

  102. Sheila on May 7, 2013 at 4:46 pm

Turnip and Arabella….they would so much fun and a lot like me !

  103. Amanda B on May 7, 2013 at 5:22 pm

I think that it would be wonderful to travel with Henrietta…think of the adventures!!!

  104. Rachel on May 7, 2013 at 5:23 pm

Jane… I’m sure there would be *something* happening 🙂

  105. Shelli on May 7, 2013 at 5:41 pm

    Turnip.
    I just love him.

  106. Courtney Tonokawa on May 7, 2013 at 5:41 pm

Hmmmm…that’s a difficult one…either Jane or Miss Gwen, because it would be inevitably Carnation-related, or maybe Geoff, because he’s honestly my favorite “Pink” hero.

  107. Yvette R on May 7, 2013 at 6:19 pm

Miss Gwen & Jane. They’re both intelligent, creative, and resourceful. They would find great places to explore and not be sidetracked too easily by those pesky unexpected problems that come up in every vacation. Also, Jane might be able to keep Miss Gwen from talking about blowing things up while we are at an airport or on a plane (you know … “Eight airport Security guards injured when purple-gowned Lady dragged off of airplane! Film at 11:00!” … like they say on news commercials.)

  108. Jane B. on May 7, 2013 at 6:27 pm

I can’t choose a favorite, but I know who I’d least like to go on vacation with: Lord Vaughn. He’d be amusing for an evening, and great intellectual exercise, but a travelling companion? Shudder! How could I enjoy anything with him looking down his nose at it all?

  109. Emily on May 7, 2013 at 6:50 pm

I think Eloise would be fun! Or Arabella and Turnip.

  110. Am7 on May 7, 2013 at 6:54 pm

Jane or Laura or maybe Letty Someone has to plan, and it’s not my strong point.
    Miles might be good too.

  111. Abby on May 7, 2013 at 7:04 pm

As my husband would not appreciate my choosing Alex, my other choice would be Laura, which may have something to do with the stack of undergraduate exams and paper I am grading just now- we could compare notes about the ways students manage to mangle what they have seemingly been taught. And she is inventive and resourceful and good with languages, all of which would be good to have around.

  112. Anna on May 7, 2013 at 7:05 pm

I would love to go on vacation with Henrietta and Miles, they’re both so funny and entertaining !!!

  113. Ana on May 7, 2013 at 7:09 pm

I think miss Gwen or Letty would be fun. Colin would be good too.

  114. Rachel Adrianna on May 7, 2013 at 7:18 pm

Robert! He’s my favorite hero, and we can make-believe he’s available 🙂

  115. Elizabeth on May 7, 2013 at 7:25 pm

Jane! She is calm, clever, and independent. She seems like she’d be fun to hang out with without having to hang out all the time. And as shown in her interactions with Amy, she can easily enjoy ridiculous situations.

  116. Moriah on May 7, 2013 at 7:30 pm

jane. she’d be really organized so i don’t have to be.

  117. Ren on May 7, 2013 at 7:34 pm

Penelope because I’m usually pretty tame on vacations. She would help get me into trouble and keep things interesting.

  118. Ariel on May 7, 2013 at 7:41 pm

I’d most like to go on a vacation with Henrietta. I think that she’d be the most fun to travel with.

  119. Carly on May 7, 2013 at 7:49 pm

Hmm, it’s a toss-up between Charlotte or Turnip and Arabella. Charlotte seems like a good friend, and Turnip and Arabella kinda remind me of me and my hubby.

  120. Sue Krekeler on May 7, 2013 at 7:52 pm

Colin. He makes my heart go pit pat!

  121. Sue Krekeler on May 7, 2013 at 7:54 pm

Colin. He makes my heart go pit pat.

  122. Amanda V on May 7, 2013 at 8:03 pm

I’d want to travel with Henrietta. She and I would get along so well, and I think our husband’s would like eachother.

  123. Lauren R. on May 7, 2013 at 8:12 pm

Amy reminds me the most of my real life best friend but Mary Allsworthy the most me personally. I can’t decide so I think I would take them both on vacation with me.

  124. Jocelyn Wang on May 7, 2013 at 8:20 pm

I would definetly choose henrietta to go vactioning with though letty would run a close second. BUT I would never ever want to go with Miss Gwen.

  125. Michela on May 7, 2013 at 8:52 pm

Miles and Henrietta would be a blast to go bar hopping with! Just imagine Miles singing karyoke or Henrietta on trivia night!

  126. Stephanie Langer on May 7, 2013 at 9:24 pm

Henrietta for sure. It would be a blast !

  127. Sharon Redfern on May 7, 2013 at 9:39 pm

I think Miss Gwen because a parasol poking companion would be handy in crowds and she seems like she would not take any guff from people.

  128. Vizelle on May 7, 2013 at 11:24 pm

Henrietta would be fun to go on adventures with!

  129. Courtney on May 8, 2013 at 12:59 am

Henrietta would be my choice vacation buddy. We’d have so much fun together!

  130. Lindsey B on May 8, 2013 at 1:05 am

While Henrietta would be super fun, I think I’d choose Jane. She seems like she’d be a fun, interesting and comfortable person to travel with – not to mention resourceful!

  131. Dana on May 8, 2013 at 1:26 am

Letty hands down. In another dimension where she is real, we are best friends. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that her character is somehow based on me and my life… minus the kissing in wheeled conveyances, disappointingly.

  132. Theresa on May 8, 2013 at 1:31 am

Arabella, for sure. With her ability to talk to anyone, I’m sure we would meet the most interesting people!

  133. Chelsea on May 8, 2013 at 2:12 am

Henrietta!! You know you’d probably get into a pickle but you’d have an adventure getting right back out!

  134. Ginger on May 8, 2013 at 5:41 am

I just want to go hang out with the whole family. Particularly Lady Uppington. Girls weekend would be Hen for sure!

  135. Karen H on May 8, 2013 at 7:03 am

Pen would be a good choice! She’s always down for fun and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

  136. jamie on May 8, 2013 at 9:12 am

honestly, I’d pick Vaughn and Mary for the sheer entertainment value of watching them dominate everyone and everything in their path, to get what they want. It would be like one of those wildlife documentaries on national geographic…

  137. Katie R. on May 8, 2013 at 9:50 am

For historical characters, I think it would be a toss up between Charlotte and Penelope. For the contemporary characters, I think I would pick Serena! She seems lovely and her clothes always sound amazing!

  138. Beverly Anstice on May 8, 2013 at 10:06 am

I tried to pick one but I love them all! Can my vacation be at a ball with all of them? I can wear a Worth gown and waltz with all of the leading men and chat with all of my friends!

  139. Nicola Burke on May 8, 2013 at 10:12 am

Charlotte …my idea is to get together with a bookie and talk books

  140. Lauren on May 8, 2013 at 11:58 am

Miss Gwen! Who else is guaranteed to ensure that crowds will part to the prodding parasol and you get front row seat to all of the sights?

  141. Kam on May 8, 2013 at 1:53 pm

I’d love to go on holiday with Turnip, bound to be relaxing – not too taxing on the brain and so easily pleased!

  142. bn100 on May 8, 2013 at 3:28 pm

    Eloise

  143. Cyndee on May 8, 2013 at 3:58 pm

Colin for me. Just something about him that makes me check to see if there is any drool! 🙂

  144. Cameran on May 8, 2013 at 5:39 pm

I’d take Miles! He has been my literary husband for a while 😉

  145. Audrey on May 8, 2013 at 6:34 pm

Either Miles and Henrietta, or Arabella and Turnip! Actually, could both couples go!? That would be awesome!

  146. Alexa J on May 8, 2013 at 7:30 pm

I would have a good laugh with Arabella and Turnip.

  147. Ashley on May 8, 2013 at 7:30 pm

Since I feel like I am more of a Charlotte, I’d want to go on vacation with Henrietta because I have a feeling she would take me on some amazing adventure!

  148. Sarah G. on May 8, 2013 at 9:17 pm

Vacationing with pretty much any of the Pink characters would be so much fun, but if I had to choose it would be either Henrietta or Charlotte. 🙂

  149. Megan on May 8, 2013 at 11:28 pm

Jane! I think there would be adventure involved… 🙂

  150. Megan on May 8, 2013 at 11:59 pm

Jane!! I think it would be an adventure… 🙂

  151. hilly on May 9, 2013 at 4:41 am

I’d go with either Laura Grey or Emma Morris Delagardie. We’d have a busy itinerary and get terrific service wherever we went.

Thanks for offering this giveaway, Lauren!

  152. Kathleen on May 9, 2013 at 10:18 am

Most? hmm …. Colin, I think. (I still think he’s in the family business!)

least? Vaughn. He just seems like he would be an uncomfortable person with whom to vacation.

  153. Lauren D. on May 9, 2013 at 10:18 am

Definitely Eloise! As a fellow grad student in British history I think we would have great conversations and maybe she could give me some tips on snagging a Britiah guy haha

  154. Dawn R. on May 9, 2013 at 4:11 pm

Definitely Richard! Although I would have to get rid of Amy first… would be a shame because I really like Amy, but all is fair in love and war!

  155. Calli Fox on May 9, 2013 at 4:47 pm

Oh, what a tough one… Either Amy or Henrietta, they seem to be always ready for adventure and fun!

  156. SusanN on May 9, 2013 at 7:07 pm

A vacay with Mary would be a nightmare.

  157. Megan on May 9, 2013 at 8:36 pm

I’d go with Emma, she seems so much fun!

  158. Megan on May 9, 2013 at 11:23 pm

Jane! It would involve adventure for sure… 🙂

  159. mira on May 10, 2013 at 4:00 am

Miss Gwen, definitely. Would really love to see how she lets her hair down, in vacation mode!

  160. Rachel R on May 10, 2013 at 9:18 am

Henrietta, definitely. Traveling with her would be a lot of fun.

  161. Bekah on May 10, 2013 at 9:29 am

I would have to go with Miles & Henrietta. I feel like they would be so much fun to hang out with!!

  162. Anna Kozlowski on May 10, 2013 at 8:08 pm

Henrietta is still one of my favorite characters so I’m going to say that she’d be the most fun to vacation with.

  163. January on May 11, 2013 at 8:36 am

    Amy, Henrietta, and/or Jane!

  164. Rachel on May 11, 2013 at 2:02 pm

Hen and I would get along swimmingly 🙂

  165. Anna on May 11, 2013 at 4:19 pm

Charlotte, we’d relax, read, dream, and discuss the entire time

  166. Sherri on May 11, 2013 at 4:40 pm

Miss Gwen — no one would bother us. 🙂

  167. Megan on May 11, 2013 at 4:42 pm

    Definitely Pen!

  168. Tina Otayco on May 11, 2013 at 4:42 pm

Geoff–he seemed kinda quiet and geeky–hidden depths. I’m quiet and geeky. I like Letty too!!

  169. Susan Shaw on May 11, 2013 at 4:50 pm

I think Henrietta would be fun, but Letty is my choice for a vacation if we can only choose one!

  170. Nicoleorr on May 11, 2013 at 4:59 pm

I would most like to travel with Henrietta and Miles. They’ve always been my favorite and I think we would have a LOT of fun! 😀

  171. Lisa M. on May 11, 2013 at 5:10 pm

I would love to travel with Charlotte and search the gardens for Unicorns and jam tarts!!

  172. Rebecca P on May 11, 2013 at 5:25 pm

I think Amy would be my vacation companion of choice. I’d bring the parasol so we could give Miss Gwen her own vacation… 😉

  173. Samantha on May 11, 2013 at 5:41 pm

For a girls weekend I would love to have Hen, Letty, and Eloise. For a romantic weekend, I’d pick Miles in a heartbeat 🙂
I don’t think I would enjoy a vacation with Penelope and Pammy. They would constantly try one up each other.

  174. Elaine Willis on May 11, 2013 at 5:46 pm

It would have to be Miss Gwen. We have a similar attitude towards people in general.

  175. Whitney Jennings on May 11, 2013 at 6:03 pm

    Arabella…we would have a blast!

  176. Tamara Pickerel on May 11, 2013 at 7:32 pm

Turnip, he is my favorite. So stylish with his waistcoats!

  177. Tracy lee white on May 11, 2013 at 8:06 pm

Toss up between Colin and miss Gwen…..with a close second to the pink carnation herself, Colin’s aunt and our favorite poet spy

  178. Devan on May 11, 2013 at 9:50 pm

    Probably Henrietta or Colin.

  179. Brittany on May 12, 2013 at 2:06 am

I would of course go on vacation with Amy!! She and i have familiar spirits!

  180. Jane Brown on May 12, 2013 at 10:18 am

Jane. of course, it would be double the J fun!

  181. Debbie Antoniuk on May 13, 2013 at 11:30 pm

Jane and Miss Gwen, I would enjoy tagging along on their adventures, though I wouldn’t turn down being on vacation with Colin!
