PURPLE PLUMERIA Give Away!

On Tuesday, two packages showed up on my doorstep: my author copies of The Ashford Affair and a box of advance copies of The Passion of the Purple Plumeria.

Of course, I couldn’t let a box of ARCs just sit there….

I was wracking my brains for a good contest question for a Purple Plumeria ARC give away when I realized that the solution was sitting right in front of me on the table– it’s Ashford launch week next week, so why not combine the Ashford launch and the Purple Plumeria give away?

The Ashford Affair comes out next Tuesday, and I’d love to send it out into the world with a bang. So, for a chance to win one of the advance copies of The Passion of the Purple Plumeria, here’s your mission:

Between now and April 9, Ashford Affair release day, post about The Ashford Affair in some forum or other– it can be Twitter, Facebook, your website or blog, a message board, Amazon, Goodreads, or, really, anywhere else on the internet– and then come back here, and, in the Comments section, let me know where you’ve posted.

If you feel like including the link to your post in the Comments section, that’s great, but by no means necessary. (This is an honor system.)

Once all the posts are up, I’ll pick three names out of the hat (aka random number generator) and announce the winners on Wednesday, April 10.

If anyone has any questions, just let me know!

p.s. if it helps in the posting, here’s the link to the Ashford page here on the website: https://laurenwillig.com/books/ashford.php

I posted this comment today: Lauren Willig’s (an author who writes in a style similar to Jane Austen) new book, The Ashford Affair. Lauren uses a similar style as her Pink Carnation series, of following the lives of two women in two centuries, as a Manhattan lawyer seeks to uncover her family’s secrets. The story follows the lives of two women over 70 years apart. The family story travels smoothly between centuries.
Recommended for those who like her style.

When my co-worker pulled the Ashford Affair out of the box of 4/9 releases today, I gave it a hug and promptly snapped a photo + proclaimed my delight on Facebook. Sadly, I then had to surrender it to it’s 5-day stint on the not-yet-released shelf. (Woe to professional ethics.)

Janga, I have to tell you how impressed I was with your piece for Heroes and Heartbreakers– you got right to the heart of what the book is about. (One line in particular, about the women being shaped by their historical moment and so on, really, really caught what I was trying to do.) Thank you!!

But I did post about your book on my Facebook and I tell everyone I know about your books, but I’m just an ordinary person, not even an exceptional book blogger; if you even consider/think about giving me an ARC copy, I will be exceptionally flattered. Mostly I’m just a fangirl. I think you write really awesome books.
