Mea Culpa

Some of you may have noticed that content has been a bit spotty here on the website over the past few weeks. Here’s the reason I’ve been missing our Teaser Tuesdays and Writing Wednesdays:

That’s Miss Gwen’s book!

As you can imagine, she fought her happy ending kicking and screaming and slashing out with her sword parasol every step of the way. (I exaggerate with the kicking and screaming; much less exaggeration about the sword parasol.)

The Passion of the Purple Plumeria comes out on August 6, 2013. I’ve been informed that there should be a cover forthcoming shortly, so stay tuned!

As an apology for dropping all of our regular features here for so long, I’ll be sharing the first Eloise and Colin chapter for next week’s Teaser Tuesday. (You can find an excerpt from the historical portion here, on the Purple Plumeria page.)

Are you feeling relieved that you managed to finish the book in time? Miss Gwen sure gave you a hard time!
I can’t wait to read Colin and Eloise’s chapter! I was so happy to find a “historical” excerpt on the new website!
Will you be able to take some time off writing, just to pamper yourself after such hard weeks with Miss Gwen, before you have to get started on the next standalone?

    Congratulations!!

And I agree with Celine. You went from wedding planning to Plumeria with barely a chance to breathe. Enjoy yourself!!

You’re forgiven, especially since you gave us a sample chapter! I, too, hope you can take a little time off with your new husband.

The excerpt is wonderful !! No problems with”lack of content” if it means you are writing a lovely book for us. Now go have some fun, you deserve it.

Never doubted your ability in the least! Now that that’s behind you, go find yourselves a good New England B & B and ‘get acquainted’ with each other. Me and the missus are going on 41 years together and every day it seems like we’re just getting to know each other. Such is the fascination of marriage. You MUST spend intentional time with each other! Good grief, I sound like a counselor. No, it is life experience from which I speak….many blessings to you.

Well, I now know what my birthday present to myself will be next summer- your book will come out two days after my birthday!
You must be relieved that it’s finally finished! Now take some time and relax… you deserve it! 🙂
