A Love Scene for Turnip
The bar at RWA is a very dangerous place.
The bar of RWA is a bit like the Champs Elysee. You tend to run into everyone you know. In my first ten minutes there, I bumped into Sarah, from Smart Bitches, and we got to talking about Turnip.As you may know, there were some reviews over on Smart Bitches in preparation for the RITA Awards. Distress was expressed that Turnip never received his “moment in the sexytimes sun”.
We needn’t go into details, but the long and short of it is that Sarah and I struck a deal: if readers on her site came up with sufficiently entertaining covers for a Turnip addendum, I would write Turnip and Arabella’s missing wedding night.
The vegetable is afoot! Over on Smart Bitches, the Turnip Photoshop contest is up and running. Submissions are open until noon on Friday, at which point the judging begins. To participate, just head on over to Smart Bitches, Trashy Books.
The winner of the photoshop contest receives a copy of The Mischief of the Mistletoe and a $25 gift card. And Turnip wins… an extra chapter.
