Mistletoe Monday

Welcome to the first of our series of Mistletoe Mondays! Every Monday, one participant, chosen at random, will receive a Mischief of the Mistletoe calendar magnet.

To kick off Mistletoe Mondays, here’s our first question. Last week, I hosted the first ever Pink website live chat, with Dr. Andrea Bonior, who very graciously consented to be my live chat guinea pig.

Would you like more live chats here on the website?

If so, who would you most like to see come visit?

(The magnet winner will be announced on Wednesday!)

I would love to see more live chats on the blogs. What could be fun would be Amy Selwick, as a special guest, because it’s been such a long time since we last saw her… I’d love to have Henrietta, too. We could ask them so many questions about their friendship and the spy school!!

Your friend, the lovely Tasha Alexander.

Ditto to the sisters but I’d also love to hear from some of the historians you mention in your notes. More insight into the pecadillos of Bonaparte’s court and it’s members. Also, who were the French spies who infiltrated English court successfully…hmmm…sounds like another flower novel.

I think the live chats should continuing being with the people who inspire you, your characters and your plots.
Too bad Turnip isn’t available for online chats; I’m sure he would have a few diverting things to say! He would probably attempt to wear the Mistletoe magnet on his waistcoat…

I second the Tasha Alexander nomination!! 🙂

I would love more info from Lauren on future books. Where she see’s the series going, etc. I am constantly checking this website for updates! I also second the historians with fun, lesser known stories about the time period. I always think the most interesting part of histroy is learning about how life would be in you lived in that time.

I agree, I would love for you to do some chats Lauren, there is so much more to the characters that I’m sure readers would love to know about!

I third Tasha Alexander! Deanna Raybourn, too. 🙂

It would be cool to get to talk to other authors as well as your self. We always like to learn more about a characters past as well as their possible futures.

It would be great to see more live chats. I would also love to see Tasha Alexander or Tracy Grant or Julia Quinn…just to name a few!!

I would agree with Deanna Raybourn and Tasha Alexander. How about a couples chat with the characters in the books beginning with Richard and Amy and rolling on through! Also with You and the future of the fabulous series….

I would like to see a live chat with you or with another historical fiction author like C.W.Gortner would be cool to.

  17. Cassandra on May 23, 2011 at 7:47 pm

I would love for you to interview a person/author who is was an inspiration for you to write the books. Since I don’t know who inspired you, I don’t know who yet. But I would love to find out!

  18. Amanda V on May 23, 2011 at 8:37 pm

Yes! I seventh Tasha Alexander! hehe

  19. Rachel on May 23, 2011 at 8:59 pm

I agree with the Raybourn and Alexander suggestions. But I most heartily agree with (and second, third, or fourth) the chat with the characters suggestions!! …. Also I’d vote they start a tish later. I was still at work during the last one …

I would definitely like for you to have more live chats on the website, especially since I missed the one last week. I would like to hear from historians, other authors, and you of course.

I think character appearances would be lots of fun! I also really like the idea of historians to provide details of the people and places in the books. I love that the books have taken us to France, England, Ireland, and India so far.

More live chats would definately be fun – though living in Australia I can’t participate in real-time, but reading the comments afterwards is still fun!

I agree with having historians who write on the time-period of the novels as guests. Having the characters as guests is also really fun – I’d love ask Gwen about her progress on her horrid novel!

  23. Catie on May 25, 2011 at 8:55 am

I would also love a live chat with Lauren! Another interesting chat would be with one of the authors who you cite in your bibliography for the books, perhaps theres a Pink historian fan out there who you have cited?
