RITA Reading Challenge

Courtesy of Smart Bitches Trashy Books (whence many good things floweth), we have… the RITA Reading Challenge 2011!

As with the Oscars, where folks try to watch as many movies as possible before the event, we have until June to read our way through the candidates for the RITA awards, romance fiction’s answer to the Oscars. I’m planning to read my way through the candidates for Regency and Historical– and maybe even branch out into Contemporary and Strong Romantic Elements.

Which RITA books are you planning to read? (And, if you’ve already read some, which would you recommend?)

I loved “Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake,” by Sarah MacLean, “Twice Tempted By A Rogue,” by Tessa Dare, and “When Harry Met Molly.” All part of great series, too!

Lets see, I’ve read and loved “And One Last Thing” by Molly Harper, “Nothing But Trouble” by Rachel Gibson, “Happily Ever After” by Nora Roberts, “His at Night” by Sherry Thomas, “The Dead Travel Fast” by Deanna Raybourn, “Water Bound” by Christine Feehan, and last, but not the least, “Mischief of the Mistletoe” . I read and did not care much for “When Harry Met Molly” by Kieran Kramer and “Twice tempted by a Rogue” by Tessa Dare. I did like other books by both authors in the same series, but not these.

I’d recommend any of the books above. They were all great reads and by some of my favorite authors!
