Great interview! Though I don’t remember the f-word being in the book at all… Where in upstate NY is your American heroine from? Ithaca, perhaps?

Not nearly that far! She’s from Putnam County, around Cold Spring– although that would have felt a lot farther away back in the day.

Great interview. I was thinking about flowers for book X and thought maybe a daffodil would work. Daffodils are the national flower of Wales (and they are a better option than the other state flower/vegetable leeks)

First, I have to say what a wonderful Q & A (especially for her 1st one) and blog Natalie has put together and then to find out she is 16 years old! I have to give her added kudos for her reviews with ratings for violence, language and cursing.

I have to admit I would love to read an HF book on Hortense de Beauharnais. Regarding Sabatini, it is not too often that a movie is better than, or ruins, the book. But when it comes to Errol Flynn, it is understandable. It happened to me with Hithcock’s Strangers on a Train, read the book and it just failed in comparison for me.
