Friday's Cover(s)
Back to the slightly more traditional….
Another prescient cover! One of the pivotal scenes in the book involves an artist’s studio, a crimson velvet throw and Laura letting her hair down.
Since it’s Friday, let’s make it a double feature, shall we?
It’s gray and rainy today where I am– rather like Laura’s Paris, where the cold rain drips incessantly down the stone walls of the old hotels particuliers. I thought this made an appropriately atmospheric cover for a rainy Friday.
So far these have been much better than what the publishers came up with.
Ugh!! Why oh why couldn’t they have kept the same format of the series?!
Did anyone else send an email to the publisher?
Yes, I e mailed them. They have just sent a generic response. These covers are so impressive. What a lot of talented readers Lauren has !
I agree! These covers are amazing. I especially love the first one for today :c)
omg, i LOVE the first one. but then, i’m a traditionalist. 🙂 wish i had photoshop!

Wow, your readers seem to be channelling the new book with all this prescience!
I love the top one about as much as the traditional one from the 19th. Definitely should be one of those two.
This has been such fun!!! We are retiring our old computer & have had to overcome several hurdles to even get back onto the web … Imagine my surprise when I saw the last week’s covers!!! They have all been great – better than the official one by a mile!
I think that today’s are both great. The first is lovely – she looks like a real person, endearingly imperfect – not just a photo-model turned into a “painting”. And the second has such great detail and atmosphere with a capital “A”.
I saw that first one and for a moment I honestly thought that it was a redone version of the real cover for this book.
