Hanging with the Hoydens

Last week, I had the great good fortune of getting to spend a few days with fellow writer and History Hoyden Tracy Grant. I adore Tracy’s books (which everyone should read! right now!), so it was an incredible treat to get the advance scoop on the next one and exchange gripes about Napoleonic spies and the characters who thwart them.

I’ve been meaning to write a proper post about Tracy’s visit, but Pink VII keeps getting in the way. Fortunately, both Tracy and fellow Hoyden Leslie Carroll, being far more organized than I, have put up their own posts about our Hoyden confab. You can find Tracy’s posts here and here , and Leslie’s here.

It was so much fun!!! I’m so lucky to have a fabulous friend who is also a brilliant writer to share Napoleonic spies, Shakespeare, and Jane Austen with. And I got a sneak peek at future Pink books :-).

I am so thrilled to find that Tracy Grant is coming out with another novel! Melanie has to be one of my favorite heroines (right behind Letty) and I am unabashedly in love with Charles (to bad he is married and has children… or that he is a fictional character)

Thanks so much, Katherine, that is so lovely to hear! I think as writers we spend so much time with our characters that they are like family, and it’s a special thrill to know that readers connect with them. You may have already found them, but there are letters between Charles and Mélanie and the other characters on my website in the Fraser Correspondence.
