Weekly Reading Round-Up
When it comes to reading time, long plane rides are the best. (Don’t tell me there’s wi-fi on board. I don’t want to hear it.)
On my way to Florida last weekend, I gobbled up the third book in Lucy Parker’s London Celebrity contemporary romance series, Making Up, about an aerialist and a make-up artist.
On the way back, flying into a snowstorm, I blazed through the lovely Lisa Patton’s ever so aptly named Whistlin’ Dixie in a Nor’easter, about a Memphis belle who finds herself– not very happily– running an inn in Vermont. Think Gilmore Girls
meets Designing Women
.
Right now, I’m snuggled up with Georgette Heyer’s Venetia— or will be, at the first opportunity.
What have you been reading this week?
Just started Robyn Carr’s The Best of Us. Loving it. Next up. The Witch Elm by Tana French. Happy reading on this cold day in Raleigh.
I’m on Chapter 2 of Broken Girls by Simone St. James, and loving it.
Finally getting around to Lethal White, the newest Cormoran Strike book, and loving it for it’s very Thick of It meets Little Drummer Girl vibe.
Oh, Venetia is wonderful…
Continuing on with Uhtred and the Saxons, book #9. Seriously solid series.
