Good Books, Bright Side
Hi, all!
For those who are interested (i.e. looking for ways to procrastinate), there is a Q&A up on Good Books, Bright Side, in which I opine on such important topics of the day as which fictional hero I would most like to date and what sort of series I might write once the Pink books have run their flowery course. Many thanks to the talented Jemima for hosting me on her blog!
Since the question has arisen, which fictional character would you most like to date?
Mr. Darcy, which I realize is so unoriginal but what can I say – I am a sucker for brooding men!
I would LOVE to date Edward Cullen of the “Twilight” series!!!
Unfortunately, I fall in love with fictional characters extremely easily. It would be impossible for my to choose just one. Truly.
Mr. Thornton of “North and South” — I love myself a good, brooding man! Or maybe Sid Malone (from “The Tea Rose/Winter Rose” books by Jennifer Donnelly), you know, once you take away all the mob-like things he does.
But if we’re talking just fictional characters in general (not necessarily from a book), I’ll go with Han Solo. As you can see I’ve given this A LOT of thought. 🙂
Ramses Emerson, from the Amelia Peabody books by Elizabeth Peters. Smart, gallant, and a master a disguise and intrigue. What more could a girl want?
Oooh, Josie, I agree with you – Edward Cullen would definitely be right up there with Mr. Darcy – for some reason my mind went straight to classic characters.
I would love to date Roarke from the J.D. Robb “..in Death” series. He sounds so delicious, I would love to take a bite!
I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Bridgerton men from Julia Quinn’s books. They’re *men* but really care about people – and those lucky women they fell in love with. Yeah, any of those guys would work 😀
Frederick Wentworth from Jane Austen’s Persuasion (especially the recent BBC version!) He is dashing and romantic… and still cares about Anne even after she broke his heart.
mmmm Fredrick Wentworth, or how about, if a Jane Austen man is needed (and they SO are) Henry Tilney, cause he has a sense of humor and was so sexy as portrayed by JJ Field.
Definitely Jamie Frasier from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series! Gotta love a man in a kilt!
Elizabeth, I love Henry Tilney! I went as Catherine Morland for two Halloweens running. That book gets cleverer and cleverer every time I re-read it.
I was going to go with the unoriginal Darcy as well. . . but Erik the Phantom of the Opera as well. Okay, more the ALW musical version if not the book, but still, the Phantom up there too. 🙂
Lois
Definitely Edward Cullen, Colin Bridgerton and Lord St. Vincent from Devil in Winter. Of course, I’m married to the greatest hero of all 🙂
Henry Duke of Richmond….from the Blood Ties Series….or Erik from the Phantom of the opera.
